In Episode 1 of our interview series 'The Blowins of Inbhear Scéine', we meet Angelika Scheibein, a nurse living on the outskirts of Sneem village. Angelika arrived in Sneem from Germany with her two small children in 1992. The young family was supposed to be travelling through different countries for two years before the little ones started school, but Angelika soon found herself working hard to make this place their home!
In Episode 2 of our interview series ‘The Blowins of Inbhear Scéine’, we hear from Kit Dunlop, owner of Soundz of Music in Kenmare. Kit was born in India and sent to school in England, but was lucky enough to spend his summer holidays with his family in Kilmacalogue, fishing under the tutelage of his dear friend Mano Hartnett. He even watched the 1969 moon landing at Teddy O’Sullivan’s (now known as Helen’s Bar). Kit would spend young adulthood in England, but the love of golf and a chance meeting with a lovely lady at the Landsdowne in Kenmare would hook Kit once again and bring him home to the place of the summers of his youth.
